We’re nearing the end of the year. Which means we’re seeing a lot of trailers over the next two weeks. These last few days have been rather fruitful in terms of new footage. Yesterday we got our first look atTeenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Out of the Shadows. And we also got a sneak peek atThe Legend of Tarzan. Tomorrow, we’ll get one of the mostanticipated trailerswithX-Men: Apocalypse. And to celebrate the occasion, 20th Century Fox has released an exciting new teaser poster

Since the dawn of civilization, he was worshiped as a god.Apocalypse, the first and most powerful mutant from Marvel’s X-Men universe, amassed the powers of many other mutants, becoming immortal and invincible. Upon awakening after thousands of years, he is disillusioned with the world as he finds it and recruits a team of powerful mutants, including a disheartened Magneto (Michael Fassbender), to cleanse mankind and create a new world order, over which he will reign.

As the fate of the Earth hangs in the balance,Raven(Jennifer Lawrence) with the help ofProfessor X(James McAvoy) must lead a team of young X-Men to stop their greatest nemesis and save mankind from complete destruction. It will be one of the greatest tests these Marvel superheroes have ever faced. And as the tagline teases, only the strong will survive.

Also reprising their roles from X-Men: First Class and X-Men: Days of Future Past areNicholas Hoult(Beast),Rose Byrne(Moira McTaggert),Evan Peters(Quicksilver). New cast members includeOscar Isaacas the villainous Apocalypse,Olivia MunnasPsylocke,Sophie TurnerasJean Grey,Alexandra Shippas Storm,Tye Sheridanas Cyclops andKodi Smit-McPheeas Nightcrawler. It isn’t known how many of these characters will be revealed in the firstX-Men: Apocalypse trailerarriving sometime next month. But from what we’ve heard, the footage isn’t too dissimilar from what was shown at San Diego Comic Con 2015.

While some fans are looking forward to this massive superhero sequel, which will close out the trilogy that includesX-Men: First ClassandX-Men: Days of Future Past, others are curious about what the studio has in store for this franchise.
