The Last of Us Season 2has unveiled a new teaser, with the season set to premiere on Max sometime in 2025. The popular adaptation of Naughty Dog’s video game will begin to tell the events ofThe Last of Us Part 2.
The Last of Us Season 2 New Teaser
This teaser helps ease the wait for The Last of Us Season 2, and many details have already been revealed. We get glimpses of Abby, Dina, and several other characters who have yet to appear in the series.
Of course, the trailer also touches on the tense relationship between Joel and Ellie following the end of the first season, but the most striking part has been a subtle Easter egg.

Easter Egg Within The Trailer(SPOILER ALERT)
The reference or nod to the game’s most dramatic moment is not visual but auditory. At a specific point in the trailer, a hollow sound effect is introduced to heighten the tension. However, this is far more significant than it appears.
The same sound effect is heard when Ellie is captured by the Seattle group at the beginning of the game. This auditory effect also occurs in the game when Joel dies.

Here’s a comparison that clearly shows that nothing in the series is a coincidence, and everything points to this second season being incredibly faithful toThe Last of Us Part 2, which was released four years ago.
The first season ofThe Last of Usconsisted of nine episodes that aired weekly on Sundays on Max, from January 29 to August 20, 2025.
After its airing, the series received 24 Emmy nominations and won eight awards at the Creative Arts Emmy Awards, honoring the best technical and “behind-the-scenes” achievements in U.S. productions.
