When going through the events that take place inNo Sleep For Kaname Date, you will encounter various escape rooms and puzzles to solve. The Cursed Puzzle is one such puzzle, featuring a unique ending puzzle that can confuse new players, causing them to overthink the solution and potentially provide the wrong answer or look in the wrong places for it.

Stopping the Water
The first step in this section is to help Iris survive the initial encounter. While this may seem like a timed portion of the puzzle, you still have plenty of time to think and explore options during this phase of the puzzle. Observing thepH value posteron the wall in the room will be the first step you will take for Iris’ portion. Doing so will give you access to theRite of the Point Scroll, which will take you right into the first puzzle within the escape game.
Solving the Small Box Puzzle
TheSmall Boxthat you’ll need to use to proceed to the next stage is located above the ladder within the room Iris is in. After a brief scene with Ota, you’ll be able to go back into Iris’ inventory and solve the puzzle. This is relatively easy when you commit the hints that the Rite of the Point Scroll gives to your memory. The hints provided are:
These hints are all related to the baths from Ota’s perspective, providing the colors of the corners that you will need to pull from the Small Box. The order for the Small Box corners will be the following order:
Activating these in this order will unlock the Small Box and advance the rest of the escape room to the next phase. With a new piece of the trial available to you, Iris will be able to pick up theRite of the Edge Scrolland help with the next event that Ota will have to take care of.
Rite of the Edge Puzzle
Now that you have the Rite of the Edge Scroll, you will need to switch to Ota’s perspective. The box Iris is in will have a side that is a diagram of an unfolded cube on the outside, where Ota is located. Here, you will then need to match the corners of the Small Box to the actual box she is in. There arefivetotal blank pieces that you will need to interact with and change to the correct corresponding colors. The color edges will be:
After you’ve successfully opened the cabinets, this will mark the halfway point of the escape room. Ota and Iris now have cabinets to open up and gather clues from. Iris’s perspective will allow you to open her now-unlocked cabinet and get theCitric AcidandRite of the Face Scroll.

Rite of the Face Puzzle
For this portion of the escape room, you will want to go back to Ota andopen the cabinetsthat were unlocked from the unfolded cube puzzle.Collect all the itemsand pick up thebucketby theconcrete wall. There will also be a set of valve controls on the wall. Push the lever to theleft, and one of the hot springs will adjust its pH levels, allowing you to fill the bucket with the correct water. Next, you will need tofill the deflated mattresswith water from the bucket and switch to Iris to pass it to Ota the Citric Acid. Pour the Citric Acid into the mattress, and then you’re able to access the next portion of the puzzle.
Now that you can stand on the air mattress, you will receive another hint for the Rite of the Face while also gaining access to another puzzle on the monitor display found on this cube face. The display will prompt you to enter a password by inputting thecorrect numbersfor an unfolded die. The die side displaying the number4is your hint for which sides you’ll need to input; the correct numbers for this will be:
Now that the display has been unlocked, you will need to place the belongings you had gathered from the cabinets earlier into these unlocked drawers in a specific order. The items in each drawer will be:

After all of these items have been put into their corresponding drawers, you will then be brought back to Iris. Place the Small Box on theMoon Pedestalthat has just been unlocked for her to interact with. After this, Iris will then have to grab a key that has been locked behind some glass, which will then put you into the final trial of this escape room.
The Final Puzzle
For the final puzzle, you will need to break down the seal of death shapes and look at the map to learn what numbers have to be input into the console on the box Iris is in. The numbers you need to input are going to be in order, furthest from the sun, and skipping the seal of death numbers. The curse-breaking note will include the diagram you need to follow to make sense of these hints.
The final portion of this guide will provide the answer to the final puzzle of the escape room.
While it may seem confusing at first, you may break down this diagram easily if you enlarge the item and hide the wording of the names of each bath. You cannot input the numbers 2, 6, or 4 for this puzzle, or else you will fail. The key is using the numbers that are in between the cursed numbers for the solution. If you skip the curse numbers and input1,5, and 3, you will succeed in breaking the curse. The only action remaining will be for you to turn the valvecounterclockwise, and you will escape the cursed puzzle with Ota and Iris fully intact and ready for the next phase of their new adventure.
