If there’s one thing that Ubisoft does well with their multitude of franchises, it’s creating dense environments filled with exploration. Assassin’s Creed Shadows is no different, as the vast world the studio has created is ripe for adventure. Whether it’s the various unique enemies you’ll come across on your adventures or investigating reported Yokai in the area, there feels like an overwhelming amount of content to dig your teeth into.
One such activity is participating in the numerous temples and shrines. Japan is a country of tradition and religion, at least back in the 1500s when Assassin’s Creed Shadows takes place. If you’ve ever been to the country, you’ll know that the number of temples and shrines feels infinite, and in Shadows, it’s well represented with some of the most iconic structures in the Kansai region.

Purpose of Temples & Shrines
With each of the temples and shrines, there will either be lost pages that need collecting or shrines that need to be prayed to. Doing so will unlock a good amount of EXP along with a Knowledge point that can be used to upgrade Nao and Yasuke. Some of these locations have surprisingly well-hidden collectibles, but with this guide you’ll have no problem finding them.
The Tennoji Temple is found near the middle of the Izumi Settsu region of Japan. It is located immediately southeast of Osaka.
The Tennoji Temple is in a hostile territory, so stealth or combat will be required to obtain these items.
Lost Page Locations
Lost Page #1
While Tennoji is taken over by bandits, the first page that can be found is actually outside any hostile territory. On the eastern side of Tennoji, just outside the walls, there will be a site with lanterns and a small Buddha statue. Left below the little Buddha is the first of three Lost Pages.
Lost Page #2
The next two pages will require you to traverse the hostile territory a bit. Climb the walls of the eastern section of Tennoji Temple and head to the southeast section. There will be a broken-down house close to the walls that you can jump onto. The roof is caved in, and down in the small room will be the second Lost Page.
Lost Page #3
The final Lost Page can be the trickiest of the three to get. While the other two are located in either safe or higher grounds, the final one is on ground level next to various bandits. Head to the northeast part of the temple to find a couple of patrolling bandits and one that is taking in the nice little pond. Take care of the idle bandit and look inside the hollowed-out tree trunk. Here you will find the third and final Lost Page for your collection.
