Telltale to Develop a Stranger Things Episodic Game

Telltale Gamesprobably best known for their story driven games such as The Walking Dead andBatman,will be bringing aNetflixseries to the genre. This time is it will be Netflix’s Original series, the retro 80’s nostalgic sci-fi series Stranger Things.

Stranger Things which originally came out with it’s first season in 2016, is a sci-fi thriller set in the town of Indiana in 1983. The series features events that take place around the mysterious disappearance of a young boy and the secretive government department of energy that has been performing some experiments involving the paranormal and supernatural activities. The show was an instant hit focusing on a group of kids' adventures, resonating with 80’s nostalgic feel, some Dungeons and Dragons and a stellar cast that includes Winona Ryder and David Harbour.

Telltale to Develop a Stranger Things Episodic Game

AtE3 2018, developer Telltale Games confirmed that the studio was working on a few projects including Stranger Things in a episodic game. No other details have been revealed in terms of cast, game style or storyline but Telltale have confirmed it will be coming “to consoles and computers at a later date.”

As a Stranger Things fan is would be interesting to see how Telltale plan to bring the series to life in a story game where decisions drive the plot and consequences can sometimes result in death of a character. With the final season of Walking Dead announced for August 14th, it looks like we have a new game to look forward to (or dread).
