PlayStation has announced a new State of Play focused onGhost of Yotei, its major first-party release for PS5, which will take place this Thursday.
Sony Confirms Exclusive Event for Its Big Fall Release
This is PlayStation’s next big launch, set to follow in the successful footsteps of its predecessor, Ghost of Tsushima—none other thanGhost of Yotei.
The sequel to Sucker Punch’s acclaimed game arrives on PS5 this October 2, featuring a new protagonist (Atsu), a new setting, and a story set 300 years later.
Back in the June 4 State of Play, it was confirmed that a dedicated event forGhost of Yoteiwas on the way—just like what happened withBorderlands 4in April. Now it’s official, as announced by Sony on social media and the PlayStation Blog.
TheGhost of Yoteievent will be held this very week—specifically on Thursday, July 10—and we already know its duration, content, and other details.
It’ll be the perfect time to seeGhost of Yoteiin action, as the State of Play will showcase a full 20 minutes of gameplay from the highly anticipated PS5 title.

Ghost of Yotei State of Play: Time and Where to Watch
Starting at 11:00 p.m. (CET), Sucker Punch and PlayStation will present gameplay fromGhost of Yoteias the main focus of the July 10 State of Play, which will be entirely dedicated to this open-world game.
The event will be hosted by two Sucker Punch veterans: Jason Connell and Nate Fox, the studio’s creative directors. Let’s not forget—they were both named official ambassadors of Tsushima Island.
The gameplay presentation will feature a bit of everything: exploration moments, new combat system details, minigames, challenges, and more.
