Best Strategy to Beat N’Erudian Reaper

N’Erudian Reaper is a big-sized boss who moves fast in the boss arena and hits like a truck. The strategy for defeating the boss varies based on your party size. With more people in your team, it becomes easier to manage, as one player can attract the boss’s attention while the others focus on dealing damage.

On the contrary, if you’re facing the N’Erudian Reaper solo, you’ll need some extra help. The Handler Archetype’s Support Dog skill comes in handy in this situation. The Dog will occasionally draw the boss’s attention, giving you brief windows to unleash your full firepower.

Another advantage of having the Dog companion by your side is its ability to revive you if you’re downed. This is especially valuable when you’re tackling the boss solo.

Besides this skill, running a solo fight against the N’Erudian Reaper in Remnant 2 also means you’ll often find yourself low on health as the boss hits hard. To counter this, the Medic Archetype’s Wellspring skill is a great option, allowing you to heal periodically using the Healing Spring AoE. While you can rely on Blood Root consumables for passive health regeneration, Wellspring is much more efficient and helps you stay tankier.

Other than that, you should be mindful of a few of the N’Erudian Reaper attacks, such as Electric Webs and Holographic Deception. The Electric Webs can slow you down, and the boss will follow up by leaping into the air and slamming down at your location once the arena is filled with webs. If your health is below 50 percent, this attack can be fatal, so be sure to dodge-roll to avoid getting trapped in the webs.

The boss also moves quickly, constantly chasing you, which makes stamina management a crucial part of the boss fight. The Support Dog skill, as mentioned earlier, provides a 25 percent movement speed boost, which can help you dodge attacks like the Charged Attack and Holographic Deception efficiently.

Equipping a ring like the Heart of the Wolf is also a good idea, as it increases your maximum stamina by 25 and boosts movement speed by 10 percent. These buffs will help you outrun the boss and avoid taking damage.

The N’Erudian Reaper moves quickly and rarely stays in one spot, so you must stay mobile. Its head is the weak spot, so focus your fire there whenever possible. For maximum headshot damage, I recommend bringing a Long Gun like Deceit, which excels at dealing significant damage per bullet.
