A lot of players may not have realized this one important fact about the new Helltides in Diablo 4 Season 4. This is a PSA to realize that if you contribute just one Baneful Heart to the Accursed Ritual, you’ll receive increased rewards in Diablo 4.
Diablo 4: Contributing to the Accursed Ritual grants you a buff
One Reddit user in theDiablo 4 subredditgave a PSA on the fact that players whocontribute just oneBaneful Heartto the Accursed Ritual in the Helltides will earn increased rewards. The user “MaxHardwood” explained how he noticed many players just waiting around the Accursed Ritual site where you’re able to summon the Blood Maiden for a tough boss fight, presumably waiting for someone to summon them.
All you need are three Baneful Hearts, but did you know that they don’t have to come from just one player? One player can contribute even just one Baneful Heart to the ritual and willearn a buff on their hot bar. This buff says “Contributing to the Accursed Ritual grants increased rewards from the next Blood Maiden kill”. If three separate players contribute to the same ritual, they’ll also receive increased rewards for defeating the Blood Maiden.

This is a very important tip for players tackling the Helltides for Season 4, especially when they’re trying to gainWolf’s Honor. It’s also important to note thatcontributing more than one Baneful Heart doesn’t add anything to the buff, so it’s not like you’re getting anything out of contributing to the entire ritual.
If you play in a party, this is easy to communicate with your teammates so everyone can get increased rewards. But if you play alone and don’t know how to tell players, perhaps contribute one or two Baneful Hearts to the ritual then wait around until you spot someone else walk up. Try getting their attention to contribute to the rest of the ritual so everyone canshare the spoils.
With increased rewards comes a better build, and with a better build, you may more easilycomb through the waves of enemiesin the Helltides to eventually earn all theIron Wolves Reputation rewards.
