The Pokémon Company and Game Freak has officially announced the release of a new Pokémon game, Pokémon Legends: ZA, a new rendition set in the franchise’s Kalos region, set to release on Nintendo Switch sometime in 2025.
A New Game For The Pokémon Saga
Pokémon fans have many reasons to celebrate. In addition to commemorating “Pokémon Day” of the successful saga internationally, The Pokémon Company also held a new online event that has officially announced the arrival of a new upcoming video game: Pokémon: Legends Z-A.
In the trailer, we can observe a brief tour of this city, although it doesn’t show clear gameplay; only a few sketches and sparse details can be seen, while characters from the franchise also appear.
Pokemon Trading Card Game Pocket Revealed
Furthermore, The Pokémon Company has also unveiled a new mobile game that will allow collecting and trading cards, under the name Pokémon Trading Card Game Pocket. We know how successful mobile games have been for the Pokémon media franchise given the absoluetely massive launch of Pokémon Go in 2016, so its not a stretch to say this is big for the series.The pack opening-focused trailer also gave a brief hint about how the new version of the game will play. It seems to be set to feature a new set of rules based on the original game, designed to be a simpler and friendlier for new players, promising faster battles primarily aimed at mobile devices.

This is the first major release of the Pokémon franchise since 2022, which began with Legends: Arceus and ended with Violet and Scarlet. For now, Pokémon trainers will have to wait for any future trailers and further announcements regarding it.
