While fans continue to wait forPersona 6and the rumoredPersona 4remake (which could be revealed during the Xbox event in June), they won’t have to wait much longer to enjoy Atlus' new gacha-style game for mobile devices and PC.
TitledPersona 5: The Phantom X, the game has been available since 2024 in China, Taiwan, and South Korea on both iOS and Android. The Japanese release had already been confirmed for summer 2025 — but now we have a surprise global launch date.
As speculated just a few days ago, the official release date has now been revealed. During a global YouTube livestream, Atlus confirmed thatPersona 5: The Phantom Xwill launch simultaneously in Japan and the West.

The game is set to release onJune 26, 2025, for PC, iOS, and Android, and pre-registrations are already open onthe official website.

What the New Persona Game Offers on Mobile and PC
We first saw the game’s opening animation a year ago, but the official synopsis is now available on the game’s website:

The Phantom Xadapts Atlus’ classicPersonaformula for mobile and PC, blending the familiar school-life routine with dungeon-crawling action after dark.
Long-time fans will recognize familiar characters from the Phantom Thieves, led by Ren Amamiya (Joker), along with iconic enemies and trademark scenarios from Sega’s beloved RPG series.
However, players won’t directly control Ren. Instead, they’ll take on the role of a fully customizable protagonist who transfers to Kokatsu Academy, ready to embark on a brand-new adventure alongside the cast ofPersona 5.
