Next spring, Danny Rand will finally come to the Marvel Cinematic Universe when the highly-anticipated seriesIron Fistdebuts on Netflix. The streaming service announced a March 17, 2017series premiere dateearlier this week, while also debuting a new photo, motion poster and variant comic book cover artwork that is available to fans at New York Comic Con. The series also held its first NYCC panel this afternoon, where Marvel debuted a brand new trailer.
The series is set fifteen years after billionaire Danny Rand (Finn Jones) was presumed dead in a plane crash, when mysteriously returns to New York City determined to reclaim his birthright and family company. However, when a long-destined enemy rises in New York, this living weapon is forced to choose between his family’s legacy and his duties as theIron Fist. Danny Rand must fight against the criminal element corrupting New York City with his kung-fu mastery and ability to summon the awesome power of the fieryIron Fist.
Iron Fistwill stream the first season in its entirety starting at 12:01am PT on June 24, 2025, in all territories where Netflix is available.Iron Fistis the fourth ofMarvel’s Netflix original series, followingDaredevil,Jessica JonesandLuke Cagewhich debuted last weekend. All of these shows are leading up to the teaming of the main characters inThe Defendersminiseries on Netflix. The drama will premiere with 13 one-hour episodes.
