The Xbox Games Showcase 2025now has a confirmed broadcast date and initial details. Microsoft has shared information about what will be the brand’s most important event of the year.
June is getting closer, and with it comes the traditional lineup of events, presentations, and showcases that refresh the gaming scene heading into the end of the year and beyond.
Despite the absence of E3 and with Summer Game Fest gaining more relevance, we now know that the Xbox Games Showcase will air onJune 8 at 7:00 PM (CET).
First Details From Microsoft
Microsoft released the first details via Xbox Wire, revealing that following the Showcase there will be an event dedicated exclusively toThe Outer Worlds 2, the latest from Obsidian.
“It all starts with our annual Xbox Games Showcase, giving you a look at upcoming titles from our first-party studios, as well as amazing new content from our external partners around the world,” the company said.
This year’s event will beentirely digital.
“Our livestream will bring you everything you need to know about what’s coming to Xbox, no matter where in the world you’re watching from,” the statement continues.
Immediately following the Showcase,The Outer Worlds 2 Directwill take you inside Obsidian Entertainment, revealing new gameplay, details, and developer insights—straight from the people making the sequel to the award-winning sci-fi RPG.
A Growing Tradition of Deep Dives
This second direct has already become a tradition. In previous years, we’ve seen similar presentations focused onStarfieldandCall of Duty: Black Ops 6. So,The Outer Worlds 2is set to carry major weight for Xbox in 2025.
There’s no release date yet for this title, but all signs point to it launching this year—even as Obsidian has already releasedAvowedonXbox Series X|SandPC. Of course, we can expect many surprises and announcements.
