No matter how many films you become a part of in your career, the public just has to see your exceptional performance once playing a character to perfection in that one film which will make you star in their eyes. Kate Winslet managed to do just that, and as everyone may know, she’s renowned for her role inTitanicever since.
And in the eyes of the public as well as people from within the industry, she’s revered with the highest of praises. But while she receives all this recognition and fame from the world, she herself feels that she isn’t too comfortable with it. In fact, on one occasion, when she was offered a bigger trailer than everyone else on the sets of her show, she immediately went and refused it.

And just like all the top personalities of the film industry, she too was treated as an A-List superstar. But contrary to many of her peers, who don’t mind the fame and status, she doesn’t like it all that much, especially when she’s given preference and treated better than most of the others she works with.
In a recent interview, theAvatar: The Way Of Waterstar talked about how she has experienced favorable treatment in the industry due to her status as one of the biggest and most recognizable actresses. She talked about how despite her status, she doesn’t want anyone to treat her differently, and certainly not better than everyone else. She also highlighted how during the shoot of her latest HBO seriesMare Of Easttown,she was given a bigger vanity trailer than the rest of the crew, which she immediately refused and got changed in her contract. She said:
“I remember telling our producerMark Roybal, about a week before we started, ‘Oh, just quickly, it’s very, very important to me that you know this: I don’t know how the process works with booking trucks and equipment, but if I arrive on day one and I have a trailer that’s bigger than everyone else’s, no matter what it says on my contract, I will actually cry,”
Therefore, being one of the A-List stars in the business, the actress practices humbleness above everything else, which makes her that much more respectable.
