Human Torch, The Thing, More Coming to Marvel Rivals Season 1.5
Hardcore Gamer’s hands-on first look at everything coming to Marvel Rivals in Season 1.5.
Human Torch Abilities
The Human Torch is a duelist who shoots fire from the sky, much likeIron ManandStorm, but being made of fire, healsohas the ability to leave behind burning walls that cause damage over time to the enemy team. He can even team up with Storm for his ultimate,Supernova, to create aBurning Hurricanethat grows in size and can devastate the enemy team. Below is a list of the Human Torch’s major abilities, and what they do:
Fire Cluster (Primary Fire)
Using (Left-Click | R2 | RT), the Human Torch fires a cluster of fireballs at a targeted enemy.
Blazing Blast
Using (Right-Click | R1 | RB),the Human Torch launches a fireball that deals damage and creates a Flame Field at the targeted area, dealing damage over time to enemies caught within.
Pyro Prison
When 2 or more Flame Fields are on the field, using(E | Triangle | Y)will enable the Human Torch to connect them to form a fire wall that deals damage to enemies that cross through the wall as well as enemies caught in enclosed spaces near the wall.
Plasma Body
Using(Shift | Circle | B), the Human Torch accelerates, greatly increasing his speed.
Flaming Meteor
Using(F | Square | X), the Human Torch can dive towards the ground, dealing damage to and knocking back enemies and detonating any Flame Fields he comes into contact with.
Supernova (Ultimate Ability)
Using(Q | L3 + R3 | L + R), the Human Torch explodes with cosmic fire, dealing damage to enemies in range and entering a Supernova state. While in Supernova, the Human Torch’s Blazing Blasts transform into Flame Tornadoes, and Plasma Body can be activated without any cost.
Human Torch Team-Up Abilities
The Human Torch has two Team-Up abilities, one with Storm and one with Invisible Woman:
Team-Up with Storm
After the Human Torch activates Supernova, using(X | L3 | L), Storm can summon an Omega Fire by selecting a Flame Tornado with Omega Hurricane. Likewise, when Storm unleashes Omega Hurricane, the Human Torch can transform it into a Burning Hurricane during Supernova. Any Flame Tornado caught in a Burning Hurricane will also grow in size and damage.
Team-Up with Invisible Woman
When there is an Invisible Woman on the team, using(C | X | A), the Human Torch can continuously generate Bonus Health.
Human Torch Tips & Tricks
Don’t forget that one of the things the Human Torch excels best at is crowd control. Strategically placingBlazing Blastsand connecting them viaPyro Prisonis an excellent way to cut off members of the enemy team (especially the backline/healers).
Once they are trapped away from their team, you may finish off low-health healers by diving them withFlaming Meteor. You can also use this combination defensively to help stall the capture of a point while waiting for your team to return from the spawn room, by creating a triangle of Blazing Blasts around the point and connecting them. Just remember that Pyro Prison is on a cooldown, so you’ll want to be smart about how and when you use it in a team fight.
