The issue with custom workshop maps in Counter-Strike 2 is thatthey use Source 2 enginewhich is an upgrade from CS:GO’s engine. Because of that, it’s impossible to quickly port over old workshop maps and community servers.
you may still play workshop maps and custom servers in CS2, butit’ll take more timefor communities to reform and recreate. In the meantime, you can stay ahead of the curve by preparing yourself for when CS2 workshops are available.
Install CS2 workshop tools
To do so, you need to install the Counter-Strike 2 Workshop Tools. In Steam, right-click CS2 and go to Properties. Then, go to the DLC section anddownload the Counter-Strike 2 Workshop Tools.
Once that is done, launch the game. Now that you’re in CS2, go to the settings and then the Game section. Make sure the “Install Counter-Strike Workshop Tools”says yes.

So far, there’s no easy way to automatically search for workshop maps, download them, and play them. For now, you need todo this complicated processto download and play workshop maps in CS2.
