Look up in the sky! It’s a bird! It’s a pla… FORE! Or, rather, Fore-ever.Holey Moleyis perhaps one of the best competition sports shows of all time. In fact, it may hold a place among the greattelevision game showsever to grace the screen, period. The show combines the graceful art of putt-puttery with a series of always hilarious yet bodily harm-threatening obstacles reminiscentof the showWipeout.

Holey Moley Fore-everis the fourth seasonof this mini-golf masterpiece. It brought with it a series of new and exciting twists, from new holes rife with hilariously hair-raising obstacles to a collaboration with a few funny, furry friends. Resting upon an already solid foundation, game show-wise,Holey Moley’screators would likely be justified in simply resting upon their laurels and pumping out season after season of priceless putt-putt shenanigans. However, the show continues to be reinvented, and each season leaves audiences wanting more of the garish golf game show. Fortunately (or fore-tunately, if one can excuse the pun), it is unlikely that the show’s producers would be cruel enough to end the series on a season with the expectations-creating subheaderFore-ever.

Here are some reasons whyHoley Moleymust return for a season five.

Joe Tessitore & Rob Riggle

Arguably the most important factor in the success ofHoley Moley, from its inception to the most recent season,Holey Moley Fore-ever, is the colorful banter that flows effortlessly from the mouths of the miniature golfing competition’s two color commentators – Joe Tessitore (Monday Night Football, Battle of the Network Stars), a long-time sports commentator, and the always eccentriccomedic actor Rob Riggle(Talladega Nights: The Ballad of Ricky Bobby, Dumb and Dumber To).

Tessitore and Riggle are the perfect comedic duo. The kooky Rob Riggle is excellently accented bystraightman Joe Tessitore. Tessitore’s broadcasting skills, honed on the sports commentary circuit, give an air of authenticity to broadcasts ofHoley Moley. At the same time, Riggle provides the levity necessary to underly the bumps and bruises of the series' crazy golf courses.Holey Moleymay have failed to become such an instant classic without these two talented talkers.

Muppet Madness

In the currently airing season ofHoley Moley: Fore-ever, fans of the show were gifted with surprise appearances from a cadre of their childhood puppet pals, The Muppets. At the beginning of the season, famous Golden State Warriors point guard Steph Curry (Breakthrough, Emmanuel) is kidnapped by host Rob Riggle and placed in the captivity of Pepe the King Prawn. Other fan-favorite Muppets, from the fabulous Kermit the Frog to the pushy princess Miss Piggy, make appearances inHoley Moley: Fore-ever. Riggle attempts to use the talents and stardom of the Muppets to bringHoley Moleyto the forefront of entertainment. However, Riggle had better watch his back, as Curry and Pepe recently announced their intentions to team up and create a series to rival the success ofHoley Moley.

If the Muppet storyline is wrapped up in the few remaining episodes ofHoley Moley: Fore-ever, fans should not fret. The show’s popularity likely sets up a whole manner of character crossovers. Steph Curry is already on the show. Could he not bring the Looney Tunes along for the ride in future seasons, a laSpace Jam?

Outrageous Obstacles

Countless television shows have employed the tried and true formula of inflicting bodily harm on their contestants through a series of daunting and often seeminglyimpossible to traverse obstacles.Holey Moley, however, was the first to combine the fine-motor finessing of miniature golf with these brutal barriers. No single portion ofHoley Moley’sgameplay is more important than the other. One must putt perfectly and survive the sinister surprise obstacle before them.

WereHoley Moleyto rest on its success and cycle through the same couple of courses, even the most intense viewer might grow weary of the series. Fortunately for fans, new holes pop up every season, complete with their respective obstacles. Audiences have no idea what perilous par-threes will pop up in a theoretical season five. The potential for more goofy greens will undoubtedly bring eyes to any and all future seasons.

Fozzy

WereHoley Moleyan actual hole in a game of golf, it would need to be a par five (at the very least) because fore is simply not good enough. Audiences need to demand a return of Riggle and to be treated with more Tessitore. Who knows what colorful characters and celebrity cameos could come about in potential future seasons. Regardless of additional accouterments, audiences simply won’t allowHoley Moley: Fore-everto be the end of this mini-golf masterpiece. Give us golf or par-ish.
