Grounded 2is one of those games that has so many different crafting items, that you’ll easily get lost in the thought process of how everything is connected. Maybe you need six Dry Grass Planks, but you can only hold five at a time, so you will need to build a structure to hold those planks, but those come with their own set of unique materials to find and collect before building. It’s a long shopping list of items that will eventually net you positive results.
One such material is Grass Seeds, a fairly common material, but very easily overlooked. Fortunately, we know exactly where to look, and really it’s hidden right beneath your nose.

Grass Seed Location
Grass Seeds are a seemingly easy thing to acquire. There are tons of grass around, so there must be seeds that fertilize the soil somewhere, right? Well, their location is actually a little trickier than you might think, or at least if you don’t know too much about the seeds themselves.
The long grass spread throughout theSnackbar Frontshould be a good indicator of where you need to go. This place is filled with tall grassy fields, something you can take advantage of as there are numerous structures that can be built using this pretty common material.
While you can chop down grass, there is one long subspecies of grass that you can overlook:Grass Flower. This is easily missed, as running through the forests of long green grass, everything looks the same. If you look upward, you will notice not all grass I the same. These Grass Flowers can be found directly outside where your first base is located.
There will be grass that goes straight up, and then there will be grass that flowers. As you might expect, the flowery grass is the Grass Flower you’re looking for, and these will drop the seeds. Move up to one and use the level 1 or higher Omni-Axe to bring it down.
Sometimes it will look like aGrass Seedfalls, but will quickly disappear. All you have to do is continue hacking and slashing away at Grass Flowers and eventually these gigantic seeds will be available for you to pick up.
What Grass Seeds Can Make
Grass Seeds are very key to craftingGreen Machinedrinks, but more importantly, they’re crucial for crafting anOmni-Shovel. An Omni-Shovel is one of the four different tools from your Omni-Tool, which, as you can imagine, acts as a shovel that allows you to dig up specific things. This can be buried treasure (which will require upgrading) or grubs that are burrowed beneath the earth.
You will not only need Grass Seeds to craft an Omni-Shovel, but at least 350 Science and 2 additional Sprigs, which can be found outside all over the place, although generally near bodies of water. Once this is done, all you need to do is go to a Ranger Station and upgrade the Omni-Tool to your fitting.
