Broforce and Gorn developers Free Lives revealed their latest game today during Devolver Digital’s Marketing Countdown to Marketing, and it is called Anger Foot.
…And again, we shouldn’t need to tell you anything else.
Yes, for the second time this year, Devolver Digital have given us a game where the name along is such sheer genius that it is all the game needs to have you throw your money at it (with the first, of course, being the poetry that isGunbrella). Hell, we’re pretty sure the pitch was simply just Free Lives walking up to Fork Parker, saying “Anger Foot,” and then having a huge sack of money with a dollar sign on it thrown at them. What more could you possibly need?
Ugh, okay for you philistines who still need a summary or a trailer even though, you know, Anger Foot, here we go. Anger Foot takes place in “Shit City” (yes, seriously), and as seen in the trailer below, it is a fast-paced first-person action game where you battle a series of anthropomorphic enemies while jacked up on energy drinks, kicking them all to death with your lethal feet of glory as you kick down countless doors and anything else in your path in a stylistic world full of caffeine, heavy bass, and gangsters. Why are you doing all of this? Because Anger Foot! Duh!
So yes, Anger Foot so far looks like sheer, magnificent chaos, and it helps that Free Lives has a stellar track record when it comes to action games. But again, all you need is just the title of Anger Foot, tough you can enjoy the whole game when it comes out in 2023 for PC, or check outthe demo on Steam right nowas part of Steam Next Fest. Actually, that’s when Gunbrella comes out as well…good heavens, not only will this mean a fight to the death for GOTY, but what happens if they release in close proximity to each other? What if Devolver embraces cross-promotion and Gunbrella and Anger Foot combine? Will their combined power be too much and cause the end of world? Tune in next year to find out!
