It can certainly get a little difficult to raise a family in Hollywood, especially when you are one of the most prominent actors in the entertainment industry and Mark Wahlberg will agree. Mark Wahlberg left his beautiful home in Los Angeles behind to settle elsewhere for the sake of his family.

And now, after finally getting comfortable in Las Vegas, the actor has given his fans an insight into how life really is over at The Gambling Capital. According to Mark Wahlberg’s description of the new lifestyle, things couldn’t have been better for him, his wife, and their four children. However, he is not the only actor who left behind the luxurious life of L.A. to settle elsewhere as Tom Cruise, too, found solace in Florida.

Mark Wahlbergput his 30,500 square foot Beverly Hills estate on the market for $87.5 million, packed up his stuff, and moved to Las Vegas last year, along with his family. Now, talking to E! News, Wahlberg is sharing some details about what the shift has been like for his wifeRhea Durham, and their kids, Ella, Michael, Brendan, and Grace. He stated that he has spent a ton of time on his interests and it’s now time to take care of the interests of his family.

“They love Vegas. I spent lots of time in L.A. pursuing my interests and my career and now it’s time for them to pursue theirs. Everybody is thriving there, it’s been great.”
Well, of course, it has been great! After all, there’s no shortage of entertainment in Vegas as Wahlberg himself said,“I saw Adele, I saw Bruno Mars,” he shared. “I’ve seen quite a few shows and been to lots of great restaurants. There’s so much to do in Vegas and it’s so exciting.”He also stated about putting his family first during an appearance onThe Talk.

“To be able to give my kids a better life and follow and pursue their dreams, whether it be my daughter as an equestrian, my son as a basketball player, my younger son as a golfer, this made a lot more sense for us. We came here to just kind of give ourselves a new look, a fresh start for the kids, and there’s lot of opportunity here. I’m really excited about the future.”
We love a man who puts his family first. Can’t wait to see what goodness Vegas brings to the Wahlberg family!

Mark Wahlberg Followed Tom Cruise’s Footsteps
Just like Wahlberg,Tom Cruisealso left his Beverly Hills home behind to settle for a life in Florida. According to People, Cruise sold his home for $39 million in 2016 and began renovating a Condominium in Clearwater. Fla. Looks like theTedactor followed suit despite putting Cruise on blast for comparing his job to that of the military.
During a carpet event forLone Survivor(2013), Wahlberg stated,
“For actors to sit there and talk about, ‘Oh I went to SEAL training, and I slept on the’ – I don’t give fck what you did. For somebody to sit there and say my job is as difficult as somebody in the military’s. How fcking dare you. While you sit in a makeup chair for two hours.”
Wahlberg’s comments were obviously seen as a reaction to that of Cruise’s however the actor later clarified that he wasn’t talking about Cruise at all. Despite the clarification, the Internet sure sided with Wahlberg on this one.
