Summary
LEGOhas released a new wave of excitingStar Warssets for June. Even though May was a very big month with LEGO’s annual Star Wars Day sale and a new wave of models, four new sets have just been released nonetheless. While three of the new models are inspired by the original trilogy andThe Mandalorianseason 3, there’s also aClone Warsset featuring one of the most controversial minifigures in recent memory.
2024 has already seen the release of over 20 different LEGOStar Warssetsand various models. This is largely due to both the 25th anniversary ofStar Warsoverall as a best-selling LEGO theme as well as the 25th anniversary ofThe Phantom Menace. Keeping that in mind, the next wave has officially arrived today with four new LEGOStar Warssets now available for purchase.

LEGO’s new Y-Wing Microfighter has become quite a controversial model due to its featured Captain Rex minifigure, the primary draw for this new set. This is because the exact same Rex minifigure was originally marketed as an exclusive figure that could only be obtained with the far more expensive$650Venator-Class Republic Attack Cruiser. Naturally, this new Y-Wing is a much cheaper method to get Rex with this set, which means the value of the Rex figure on the secondary market has plummeted (much to the frustration of certain collectors/sellers).

A brand-newStar Warsmech joining LEGO’s growing roster,Luke Skywalker mech is styled after his iconic X-Wing from the original trilogy. The Pilot Luke minifigure is quite nice as well.
