Something that I see a lot of in the jailbreak community, especially on message boards and networking sites like/r/jailbreak, are inquiries about ways to download the .deb files forjailbreak tweaks.

While it’s already somewhat easy to acquire the .deb files of free jailbreak tweaks, iOS developeryothas just released a new and free app for jailbroken handsets calledDebLoaderthat aims to make the process more approachable.

Once installed, the DebLoader app can be found on your Home Screen. When you open it, you’ll see an interface like the one shown above in which you may enter the full bundle ID for the jailbreak tweak you wish to acquire the .deb file for.

After entering the bundle ID, you can tap on the blue Download package button. As long as you don’t see an error message, you can safely assume the download was successful and then you can tap on the blue Open download folder button to view the file:

As we mentioned earlier, it’s possible that the app could throw an error message. In most cases, this happens if you misspell something. The developer notes that the app uses your installed sources list to find tweaks based on the bundle ID, so it can only find tweaks from the repositories you use in your package manager app.

As for what you can do with a .deb file, you can use an app such as Filza or use Terminal commands over SSH to install them on your jailbroken device. This is a process that your package manager app usually automates for you, but advanced users are more likely to use the more advanced method, especially when troubleshooting or installing test releases from a developer.

If you’re interested in giving DebLoader a try, then you candownload it for free from yot’s personal repositorywith your preferred package manager app. The tweak supportsjailbrokeniOS 13 and 14 devices.

Those who aren’t already taking full advantage of yot’s personal repository can add it to their package masher app by using the URL provided below:
