Creating a forgery in Dragon’s Dogma can be morally wrong in many ways, but you’re able to indeed get a copy of an item by visiting the Checkpoint Rest Town. You can find the town far west of Harve Village. You can make the trek (and likely find resources such asSilver Oreon your adventure), but there is an oxcart that departs from Vernworth into this area.
Once you’ve arrived, head over to Ibrahim’s Scrap Store. It’s a dodgy stall that stands around the corner from the Vocation Guild or The Sword & Staff. The salesman stores questionable items like aferrystonethat won’t work. This is where you can find the legitimate Jadeite Orb, however.
What we want to focus on is creating a forgery in this store. Select “Request a forgery.” From here, you’ll see your inventory. you’re able to pick any object from your bag, and each material costs a different service fee. Masterpieces, as Ibrahim says, take time to create. You’ll need to wait two in-game days for the final product in my experience. Thankfully, there’s an inn on the second floor of The Sword & Staff north of the area. Each night’s stay costs 1000G, but I had my protagonist rest on the bench to pass the time. Do this multiple times, and on the second night, your forgery might be finalized. It saved me 2000G. Unfortunately, thereare no barbersin the area to help you alleviate the wait.
The value of the forgery is usually less than what the original version would get you. For example, the Imitation Jadeite Orb only gives you 450G if you copy it. It also might cause trouble if you decide to make a forgery of the Jadeite Orb for a quest. The copied Jasper is worth the same value of 800G, but it will cost 6000G to fabricate it, so this wouldn’t be worth the investment.
