In an announcement today, it was revealed thatDark Souls Remasteredfor Nintendo Switch will be pushed back until the Summer of 2018. What makes this so surprising is thatNintendo is publishing on theSwitch, and seems to be spearheading much of the marketing campaign for the game, having shown the first gameplay footage of the Remaster a little over a month ago.

Due to the nature of causality, we must announce that the Nintendo Switch version of#DarkSoulsRemasteredwill be pushed back to summer of 2018, and with it, the release of the Solaire of Astora amiibo.

A Tweet by @FromSoftware_pr also announced:

So, it may not all be about theAmibo!.

It was also noted that Network Testing on the Switch console will happen at a separate time, that hasn’t been named, closer to the game’s launch on the Switch. No word yet on when Xbox One and Playstation 4’s Network Tests will be, but we’ll keep you updated just as soon as we find out.

We will test the server performance of the Switch version apart from the others, and at a time closer to the Switch release. We will announce the dates when they are available.
