Charlie Sheen Recently Made a TV Comeback

For a long time, Charlie Sheen appeared to be on a downward spiral that would never end. Having made a name for himself dueto his outrageous claims and activitiesrather than his acting, the actor eventually disappeared from Hollywood in order to take time away from the spotlight and deal with his demons.

Recently, the actor made a triumphant return to TV inBookie, a comedy series created by Sheen’s formerTwo and a Half Mencollaborator Chuck Lorre. After a tumultuous working relationship, which ended when Sheen was fired from that show after his behavior became too much for the series creator to abide, it seemed that the pair would never work together again.

However, flash forward a few years, and nowSheen and Lorre are back on good terms, and making magic once again withBookie, which debuted on Max at the end of November. The story focuses on a veteran bookie struggling with unstable clients, family and co-workers, as well as the impending legalization of sports gambling. While it seemed an unlikely reconciliation, Lorre reached out to Sheen when writing his new show, wanting the actor to play a fictional version of himself, andthe pair were able to resolve their previous differences.

This has seen fans calling for aTwo and a Half Menrevival with Sheen, but Lorre has so far suggested that he doesn’t see a revival happening anytime in the future, even though Sheen’s series costar Jon Cryer previously said that he hoped that one could happen. For now, fans will have to made do with old episodes of the series, which are currently streaming on Peacock Premium.
