Ultimate Art
Executor works as a bit of a wild card in the roster of characters. You’ll want to occasionally receive status effects from enemies to gain an attack and stamina regeneration boost, making him a double-edged sword. To maximize his potential, you’ll have to receive those negative effects while in the middle of battle. You can end these effects early with recovery items since you only need to recover from the ailment to gain your buffs.
His Character Skill is also an ability that offers some of the best defense in the game. This Cursed Sword acts as a way to parry incoming attacks, much like Wolf in Sekiro. While it provides good damage to enemies early on in a run, it will eventually fall off towards the end of it. You want to use it for defense. It’s a powerful attack when charged, and then switch to your more powerful weapons when you have windows to attack. Relying on it for too much damage will result in you not being able to pull your weight for the final boss of each run.

Weapon Priority
While the preferred weapon for the Executor is the katana, you can still use several types of weapons.
Due to how drops in Elden Ring Nightreign work, you are never guaranteed the best and most rare weapons when you embark on an adventure. However, you can plan for weapons that are in line with your characters to drop regularly from bosses and certain areas located on the map. Using weapons like Katanas that have high dexterity stats is perfect for Executor, and they are his preferred weapon. While not guaranteed to drop every run,Rivers of BloodandMoonveilare very good epic-rank weapons that do very well in his hands, and they do drop fairly often. But there will still be a few runs where you might not see them unless you are hunting down bosses as often as possible.
Curved Swords, Curved Greatswords, Rapiers, and Spears are also fairly good in his hands due to their use of dexterity as well. You aren’t required to only use a character’s preferred weapon type, but in the case of Executor, you do get the bonus of katanas all falling in line with his Character Skill if you choose to stick with them.

Talisman and Relic Priority
You’ll want bonuses focusing on HP, Stamina, or damage output.
When looking for talismans, you may want to try and find any that will increase your max HP to allow some extra leeway if you are going to take ailments regularly. Alternatively, you can increase your stamina recovery, maximum stamina, or improve critical hits. Talismans like theDagger Talismanare perfect for increasing your critical hits, making them deal out more damage. TheDragoncrest Shield Talismanwill be something to keep an eye out for as well, due to the15% physical damage negation. While it doesn’t increase max HP, it does make it easier if you miss a parry window and allow you to survive some extra damage you didn’t mean to take.
With relics, it isn’t worth using character skill cooldown reduction bonuses, as his Character Skill is always available for use. If you are looking to upgrade his abilities, you can use theUltimate Art Gauge +. It is always a good choice to use the ultimate as often as possible, since it can fully heal you while in battle. Increasing your resistances will help with scenarios where you are dealing with frostbite, poison, etc, if you have trouble dealing with status effects. These keep you alive a bit longer, but can be substituted with more attack-oriented relic buffs due to the nature of Executor’s passive ability. You want to receive these ailments occasionally to deal extra bits of damage to enemies.

Using relics to change the starting armament skills to new effects is also a good way to boost your initial start. Such as the Night of the Miasma relic. This relic will conceal you when you inflict frostbite while also giving your starting weapon the Chilling Mist weapon skill. On top of these, you will also gain an attack power-up when facing enemies inflicted with frostbite.
Executor is a strong character on his own, and with a solid team of players to back him up, he’s even stronger. While his Character Skill gets weaker the longer a run carries on, it does a great job at keeping him alive. Parrying incoming damage and switching weapons during the right attack windows are a huge part of learning how to play Executor, and it adds a fantastic change in combat pace when compared to the other playable characters. He can fully heal from his Ultimate Art, and overall, has some of the best versatility in the cast of characters.
