Larian Studios will be unveiling the release date for Baldur’s Gate 3 for Xbox Series X|S during The Game Awards 2203.
Baldur’s Gate 3 Xbox Release Date to be Announced at The Game Awards 2023
Xbox fans will need to wait a little longer for the actual release date announcement for Baldur’s Gate 3 which was teased bySwen Vincke earlier this week. According to a recent post on X (twitter) by the official Larian Studios account, the date will be unveiled duringThe Game Awards 2023.
While we already know that the BG3 Xbox version will be released in December, the studio has reaffirmed from this tweet and previously that it would still be “on track for a December release”. Hopefully, this means Xbox fans will get to play the awesome CRPG in time for Christmas. What greater gift than the gift of hours of Baldur’s Gate 3 fun?
Larian has been celebrating some wins this game awards season, already receiving several awards atThe Golden Joystick Awards. They have also beennominated eight times for The Game Awards 2023, which was revealed this week. One major category is Game of the Year 2023 and Baldur’s Gate 3 is competing for that section against other major releases this year, includingResident Evil 4 Remake, Alan Wake 2,The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wildand more. That might not be all that is to be revealed as Vincke’s previous tweet also mentioned “physical media” which could mean a physical version dropping. A recent rumour due to an achievement listing also suggests anHonour Modemight be coming to the game, but the devs have yet to comment on whether this is true. This could be similar to the mode that appeared inDivinity Original Sin 2which gave more of a challenge with adding a harder difficulty, one that adds permadeath and erases the save, brutal!
