It was already clear that February 2025 would be a massive month for video games on PC, Steam Deck, PS4, PS5, Xbox, and Nintendo Switch—especially now that we know more details aboutAvowed.
We’re coming off a packed January with releases likeDonkey Kong Country Returns HD, Dynasty Warriors Origins, Sniper Elite Resistance, andEnder Magnolia, making it a tough act to follow.

WithKingdom Come: Deliverance 2already launched—and thankfully,Assassin’s Creed Shadowsdeciding to postpone its release—now all eyes are onMonster Hunter Wilds, Like a Dragon: Pirate Yakuza, and Civilization VII.
And we’re sure that Obsidian Entertainment’s latest game, following The Outer Worlds, will be widely played and discussed—especially since it’s available on Game Pass from day one.

The MinnMax YouTube channel recently conducted an interview with Avowed’s director, featuring 175 rapid-fire questions about the upcoming RPG.
It seems Carrie Patel took the criticism about the game’s 30 FPS mode on Xbox Series seriously and assured Ben Hanson that it will be playable at up to 60 frames per second.

Set in the Pillars of Eternity universe, this new RPG features multiple endings, and the interview even touches on a New Game+ mode, which could introduce variations as well.
Some players claim that the game takes place after Pillars of Eternity II: Deadfire, though no prior experience with the series is required to understand it—though playing them is recommended, as they are great games.
