The 95th Academy Awards are here, well almost. As the biggest award show nears its date we need to be prepared with popcorn and well obviously the right channel.

Questions have begun to surround the air on the internet, will Angela Basset bring home Marvel’s first acting Oscar? Will Will Smith be there? Who will present at the Oscars? and the Biggest question of them all is, Will there be another Slap? Well, only the celebratory night will answer any of these questions.
When and Where to watch the Oscars?
The ceremony begins on 12th March at 8 p.m. Eastern, 5 p.m. Pacific in the evening on Television at ABC, the official broadcaster of the Awards. It will be streaming live on ABC’s app as well as on its site(https://abc.com/watch-live/abc). Other options include Hulu Live TV, YouTube TV, and FuboTV.
There will be no red carpet this time, the celebrities will make their elaborate entrance on a champagne-colored carpet. The pre-show will air from 1-4 p.m. ET and 10 a.m.-1 p.m. PT on ABC. It will also be available to stream on the ABC News Live website from 1:30 p.m. EDT/10:30 a.m. PDT until the official start of the Oscars. The festivities will be held at Dolby Theatre at Ovation Hollywood in Los Angeles.

All Quite on the Western Front, Elvis, Avatar: The Way of Water, The Banshees of Inisherin, Everything Everywhere all at Once, The Fabelmans, Tar, Top Gun: Maverick, Triangle of Sadness,andWomen Talkingare nominated for the Best Picture category.
All Quite on the Western Frontis an anti-war epic that follows two young ambitious boys who have enlisted in the army. The film is set in the backdrop of 1914 when war broke out in Germany. The film is streaming on Netflix.

Elvisis the peak of musical biography, it is as the title suggests a biography of the Rock n Roll legend Elvis Presley. It is streaming on HBO Max.Avatar: The Way of Wateris another blockbuster by James Cameron, following the characters from the original this one explores new relationships and dynamics between us and nature. It has not come on any streaming platform yet.

There is no doubt that this year’s nomination shows that the Oscars is going above and beyond to bring about some serious change in its values, morals, and ethics. Films and actors of all races, communities, and countries were acknowledged and celebrated. Hopefully, the 2023 Oscars will prove how Award shows can reinvent themselves according to changing times.
